Why Looking For a Job Is a Full-Time Job

You’ve heard the phrase before, but maybe you don’t feel inclined to make looking for a new job your full-time job. Perhaps you feel this way because you’re only casually looking, but many candidates we work with feel this way because they don’t think it should be this hard to find a job.

I guess my question is “Why shouldn’t it be hard?” To steal a line from the movie A League of Their Own, Tom Hanks’s character says “It’s the hard that makes it great.” Here’s the link to the movie clip, in case you’ve forgotten.

During an interview, you have to show your chops and prove to the hiring authority if you get the job, you’ll know what to do. A great hire is when you don’t want to leave for years – or ever!
