The end of an interview is your time, as the candidate, to close the interview and leave a lasting impression on the company. You want to make sure they know you’re interested in the position.

The close at the end of the interview can be as simple as saying “thank you for your time, I think I would be a good fit for the position, what are the next steps from here?” You could also say, “is there anything about my background or experience keeping you from moving me forward in the process and, if so, can I address it?”

Showing your motivation and desire to get the job will put you in a great position with the hiring manager. It’s also still a good idea to follow up afterward with a thank you note or email.
